I traveled home after my exams and I don’t regret it at all :mrgreen:lol. The food, yes oh i love food. Now back to business. Project “Know how to” is a new initiative created with the aim to improve style in menswear fashion. It’s main objective is to take the regular average t-shirt & Denim trousers kinda guy to ‘That Elegant Man’  kinda guy using basic essentials in a man’s wardrobe. First of I’m starting with

HOW TO DRESS UP YOUR DENIM WITH A SPORTS JACKET

Most guys don’t wanna give up their Jeans, well good news is that you don’t have to. You can stay Elegant with a pair of jeans. I have heard stories of how some guys aren’t allowed in a certain place but let other guys entry freely. The question i always ask is what were they wearing? A t-shirt and Jean sometimes even worse they wear tank tops to event and expect first hand respect.. The only thing you get with that kinda outfit is first hand degradation. It might be totally unfair but we do live in a world where we will be judged by our appearance so take a bold step today and improve the way you dress.
So how do you dress up your denim

KEEP IT SLIM
Your pants should fit properly. It should be slim fit or straight fit whatever works best for you but avoid skinny jeans. Do not wear skinny jeans. It will only make you look not serious with a sports coat.

KEEP IT NEUTRAL
It’s monochromatic all the way.. If you have been paying attention to what’s trending this season you will know that monochrome has never left any body. It’s clean, smooth and easy. So play it neutral just like i did with my upper region.

KEEP IT COOL
Spice it up to look cool. Well some people pay attention to tiny bit of details so doing something more than any other guy wearing denim and sports coat is to add accessories. It might be a cool collar chain or Floral pin or a bow tie or a very cool belt or even a waist coat. Just keep it cool.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
In all keep it simple. The color of your denim, the wash, your dress shirt, your patterns… Keep it all simple.

Now the sports coat/jacket. I love it cause it comes in an endless variety of colors, patterns and fabric types. It has a generally loose fit unlike suit jacket and Blazers that’s well structured. Sometimes it has elbow patches on the arms. It also has a wide range of style option available but most importantly it should fit.

For your shoes, you can wear a classic Oxford or Loafers (like the patent leather Loafers that I’m wearing, you can get similar here)

Finally if you have the confidence you can pull it off with your own little flair.
